As a licensed realtor in the State of Alabama since 2006, I understand the importance of being a professional at all times when it comes to meeting the special needs of each of my clients. Prior to being a realtor, I owned and operated a full-service advertising and public relations firm. My unique abilities to market properties allow my sellers the opportunity of a first-class marketing program designed to get homes sold.

As credentials are important to one’s success, I continuously look for avenues in which to better educate myself to provide my clients the highest possible service. I know that the more I learn the better I can serve my clients. I have invested time and monies in continuing education. I will continue to strengthen my brain power when it comes to real estate. I believe you have to continue to grow in your profession day after day. And when you love your profession as much as I do, you just become a sponge trying to soak it all up so you can deliver the best. My designations include:

ABR – Accredited Buyer’s Representative Designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council of the National Association of Realtors. To receive ABR Designation, you much complete a comprehensive course that focuses on the buyer representation specialty, both in addition to submitting documentation verifying professional experience. As an ABR, my buyers are assured they receive service backed by experience.

SRES Designation – Senior Real Estate Specialist from the National Association of Realtors. To successfully earn this designation, you must complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older.

AHWD Designation – At Home with Diversity awarded thru the National Association of Realtors is a comprehensive course designed to better train real estate professionals the importance of understanding the issues of diversity, fair housing, and cultural differences when it comes to purchasing a home. The educational program has helped me to better understand the changing face of the real estate industry.  

CRS – Certified Residential Specialist – The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents. To earn this designation, a realtor has to have had 60 Transactions or $30 Million in volume over the most recent/last 3 years and 30 Hours of RRC Education. Only the top 3% of realtors in the United States are designated CRS.

As a multi-million-dollar producer, I have won numerous production awards during my 13 years of real estate.  The award I am most proud of is the Re/Max Cooperative Spirit award I won in 2012. This award is selected by your peers; those you work with in your real estate office. Being selected by those I work with was extremely meaningful to me.

But my greatest rewards in life have always been my God and my family.  I am blessed with a wonderful husband Mike. I have a son, Jason Whatley who is a bright and gifted young man who is married to my daughter “in-love” Kari Whatley who is an equine therapist (see: equinetherapygroup.com. Yes, I’m proud). I have a beautiful and bright daughter Rachael Crider, who is married to my fabulous son “in love” Michael Crider. If a mom could write down what she wants for a husband for her daughter, he would be it. Yes, Life is Good. And I bring that positive attitude to my clients. It’s about being positive.
